"For me, Ronaldinho is the best player in history," Gerard Deulofeu told Marca.
"I met him, I went to see a match at the Camp Nou and he was sitting next to me. It was a wonderful experience.
"Messi is incredible too, I like him very much.
"I played with him for six months and he is a nice person, a great player. The whole world knows about Messi."
Deulofeu, who joined La Masia in 2003 at the age of nine, played the first part of the 2017/18 season alongside Leo Messi for Barcelona's first-team. The Catalan, however, left the Blaugrana for Watford on loan in January 2018 and has never returned to Camp Nou. The 26-year-old recently moved to Udinese on loan from the Hornets.
As for Gerard's take on the GOAT, well, there are not so many people who would agree with him. You can hardly compare Ronaldinho, who had been up there at the very top for two or three seasons, and Messi, who maintains his incredible level for more than 10 years now.
