Ronaldinho once received standing ovation at Santiago Bernabeu – here's how it all happened

On November 19, 2005, Real Madrid were set to host Barcelona at Santiago Bernabeu in the first Clasico of the season. The home side were sitting in the first spot, one point ahead of the Catalans, and were looking to widen the gap.

However, it wasn't destined to happen, as Ronaldinho was on top of his game that night. After a strike from Samuel Eto'o, the Brazilian magician added two mesmerising goals to secure Blaugrana's victory.

First, Ronnie got the ball on the left wing, beat Sergio Ramos, took care of another defender with a fake shot and then scored. 19 minutes later, he tried the same exact thing and the ball ended in the exact same place — in Iker Casillas' net. Amazed with the performance, the Santiago Bernabeu staduim stood up to applaud the genius.

Following the victory, Barca climbed to first place in La Liga and remained there for the rest of the season. Besides, the Catalans won the Champions League that term.
