Barca is La Liga team with most players at 2020 Euros as 9 Blaugranas get called up

With nine players set to represent the club, Barcelona are the La Liga team with the most players participating at the 2020 Euros, Mundo Deportivo report.

The Blaugranas that have been called up by their national teams are Eric Garcia, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Pedri (Spain), Clement Lenglet, Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann (France), Martin Braithwaite (Denmark) and Frenkie de Jong (the Netherlands).

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have six and seven players respectively.

Meanwhile, the team with the most players at the competition is Chelsea, as they will be represented by 17 players.

The Euro 2020 kicks off on Friday, June 11, with Italy playing Turkey at 9:00 pm CET.

Dembele and 6 more players whose price could skyrocket after Euro 2020

Ousmane Dembele

Current value: €50m

At his peak (in February 2019), Ousmane Dembele was valued at €120m by Transfermarkt, but his injuries and inconsistency have led to his market value decreasing by almost 60% since then.

However, this summer's Euros will be a chance for him to redeem himself and capitalize on the solid season he's had at the club level. Moreover, Ousmane's expected to sign a new long-term deal with Barcelona, and this could serve as an additional boost.

Dembouz is still young. A few goal contributions, constant playing time and France making it far into the tournament could definitely add to his market value.

Antoine Griezmann

Current value: €60m

Just like his fellow countryman, Antoine Griezmann has seen his market price plummet over the last two seasons.

Judging by how good he's been in the friendlies France has recently played, Griezmann is likely to continue his good form at the Euros as well. Antoine's 20 goals and 12 assists for Barca in the 2020/21 season and a good performance at the tournament will most likely result in his stocks going up over the summer.

Pau Torres

Current value: €50m

With Real Madrid's centre-backs Sergio Ramos and Nacho missing the Euro 2020, the 24-year-old Villarreal star will get the chance to impress at his first-ever big international competition.

The centre-back already impressed everyone with his defensive contribution in his 2019/20 campaign to generate interest from Manchester United. Ironically, he did very well against the Red Devils in the recent Europa League final.

The Spaniard is particularly great at ball control – he's one of the most successful passers in the 2020/21 La Liga. Torres also recorded 388 completed long passes last term – the 8th-best result in the league among all players.

Aleksandr Golovin

Current value: €28m

Despite being unknown for some neutrals, the Russian playmaker is remembered by many for his sensational 2018 World Cup campaign.

The 25-year-old has never disappointed since then, joining AS Monaco that summer and recording 15 goal contributions in 2020/21.

The midfielder is a real set-piece master: 5 of his dead-ball passes (those that usually come from free kicks or corners) led to Monaco's goals – only Rennes' Benjamin Bourigeaud possesses a better stat in Ligue 1 (6).

Golovin is easily Russia's most creative player on the pitch and he will (sometimes singlehandedly) carry his national side to the play-off stage.

Owen Wijndal

Current value: €17.5m

Imagine spending a truly memorable season in Eredivisie and winning the competition against experienced Daley Blind in the national team – this is about 21-year-old Wijndal who could join a European giant in the summer.

The left wing-back scored 2 goals and provided 6 assists last term.

What's even more impressive about the lad? He didn't miss A SINGLE MINUTE OF PLAY for AZ Alkmaar, accumulating a maximum number of minutes last season.

If anything happens to Frank de Boer's squad, Owen Wijndal will be the last man standing.

Sasa Kalajdzic

Current value: €22m

The Austrian forward was a sensational finding for the whole German Bundesliga last season, becoming the league's 6th-best goalscorer.

Kalajdzic's start to his international career was amazing too. The 23-year-old rapidly established himself as a regular starter and scored 3 goals in just 6 appearances for Austria.

23 goal contributions in just 36 appearances – sounds great for a player who came to the Bundesliga for less than €2m in 2019.

Ruslan Malinovskyi

Current value: €30m

While already on Chelsea radars, the Ukrainian attacking midfielder was one of the greatest Serie A performers in the first half of 2021.

Overall, the 28-year-old got 10 goals and 12 assists for attack-minded Atalanta side last season.

The playmaker is the third-best Serie A player in terms of shot-creating actions per 90 mins (6.04) – only giving way to his teammates Luis Muriel (6.20) and Josip Ilicic (6.07).

Malinovskyi should definitely bag a few goals at the Euros – at least because he's responsible for the national team's set pieces, including penalties.

Luis Enrique confirms that Busquets 'won't drop out' of Spain's Euro 2020 squad despite positive Covid test

"Busquets won't drop out of the list and should be with us as he was the first player to test positive," Spain manager Luis Enrique has said during a press conference on Thursday, as quoted by AS.

The Barcelona midfielder tested positive for Covid-19 over the weekend while Diego Llorente became the second player in La Furia Roja's squad to contract the disease on Monday.

On Thursday morning, the Spanish FA confirmed that Llorente has tested negative for coronavirus since thus and will re-join the squad on Friday.

Busquets, meanwhile, continue to self-isolate at home in Barcelona.

"We were unaware of the positive within his family and that is why he played in Friday's game against Portugal," Enrique added on Sergio.

"We've been rigorous in observing all covid protocols and it's not about looking for those to blame. Busquets is feeling well and has no symptoms and is training alone in his house in Barcelona."
