Pedri 7.5, Dembele 3: rating Barca players in Real Madrid loss

Pedri — 7.5

The Barcelona midfielder came on in the second half and improved our attack significantly. Pedri's quick, vertical passes and good movement allowed the Catalans to control the midfield, although it was still visible that the youngster lacked match fitness.

Luuk de Jong — 7.5

The Dutch striker is not a well-rounded player, but he's good at what is asked of him. He registered several headers in the first half, two of them on goal.

Barca's goal came only thanks to Luuk's incredible workrate, as he put pressure on the Real Madrid defender when many forwards would've simply given up.

When in possession, Dani is a very useful player. However, he can be a defensive liability at times. The Whites scored their second goal after Vinicius Junior simply ran past Alves on the wing.

The winger was Barca's most active player upfront, but his end product is simply horrendous. Out of the six shots he took, only one of them was on target. He completed only five of his 15 attempted crosses and lost 25 possession 25 times.

Still a good passer, Busquets immobility has been a huge advantage for Real Madrid. Sergio lost the ball in the first conceded goal, and then couldn't track back to help the defence in the third goal. A big part of the blame is on the captain tonight.

Others: Ter Stegen — 4, Araujo — 6, Pique — 5.5, Jordi Alba — 6, Frenkie — 7, Gavi — 6.5, Ferran — 6, Abde — 5, Nico — 6, Ansu Fati — 7.5, Memphis — 6, Jutgla — n/a.
