"The Super League is moving forward. We cannot allow European football to be in the hands of states not part of the EU - it is clear Manchester City and PSG have a money machine and we are fighting against that," Joan Laporta has said, as quoted by TV3.

As per reports, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus want to relaunch the Super League project in the near future. The clubs have agreed on format changes, among which is making it a open league with every team standing a chance to compete.
The big difference between Barca and state-owned clubs is that we have to earn our own money. Clubs like PSG and Man City have money pumped into by their rich owners. They can spend as much as they want as long as they comply with the Financial Fair Play rules.
