New defender enters Barcelona's transfer radar – he's worth just €20m

Barcelona have been linked to Girona defender Arnau Martinez, per Cadena SER.

The 19-year-old can play as a right-back and right-wingback and his stock has been rising steadily in Spain lately.

Barcelona are open to signing a right-back at the end of the season with Hector Bellerin failing to impress, Xavi losing faith in Sergino Dest and Sergi Roberto leaving.

Martinez is valued at €6m by German source Transfermarkt, but the word in Spain claim he won't be allowed to leave for less than €20m. That's still a decent fee for a player who could come good at Barca for many years.

This season, Martinez has scored twice for Girona in his 10 La Liga outings.
