Barca players 'approve' 2 new captains, one of them is fan-favourite choice

Barcelona players have approved Robert Lewandowski and Ronald Araujo as the team's future new captains, reports Diario AS' Javi Miguel.

One of the two is expected to replace Sergio Busquets in the captain foursome next season. If Jordi Alba leaves, however, both players will enter the quartet.

In the preseason, there will be a team vote to decide who will be the new 4th captain. Lewandowski and Araujo are the players' favourites.

The first three captains will be Sergi Roberto, Jordi Alba and Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Roberto and Alba are benchwarmers, so we should expect Ter Stegen to carry the armband a lot next season.

As a reminder, Busquets is leaving the club in the summer.
