'With or without armband': Ronald Araujo makes big promise to Barca fans

Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba's departure means that Barcelona have two captaincy slots vacated for now.

Apart from the veterans Roberto and MATS, another two Blaugrana players will be given the honour of wearing the captain's armband next season.

Robert Lewandowski and Ronald Araujo are the standout candidates for the role.

Talking to the press on Thursday, the Uruguayan was asked whether he'd like to be captain next campaign to which he replied:

"It’s always a pride to be captain of this team, but it’s not up to me. It’s something that people other than me will decide.

"I will do everything for Barca with the armband or without it. I consider myself a born leader and that will always be the case."

He is HIM. Captain material all day long.
