Lamine Yamal – 8
Yamal made history on the day, becoming the youngest player to score a La Liga goal with a smart tap-in. Caused chaos with his movement and tormented the defenders with his unpredictable work, even though his teammates often ignored him in key situations.
Joao Felix – 7.5
Despite not scoring, Felix was a major threat for Barca and got at the thick of many prominent chances. He slipped past the backline to trouble them and tested the goalkeeper with multiple thunderous shots. Created a few nice chances too, including Yamal’s goal. Had a seemingly clear winner ruled out in added time after a great performance.
Sergi Roberto – 7
Roberto’s substitution was scoffed at by fans, but he proved to be clutch in an advanced midfield role. Moved the ball along nicely and showed his predatorial instincts with an impressive finish for the equalizer.
Ilkay Gundogan – 7
Even though defensively not that effective, Gundogan helped set up a lot of good things from his deeper role. Created three chances with his innovative passes from the deeper areas and helped his side control possession efficiently.
Gavi – 4.5
Gavi had a really erratic evening. Gave the ball away in silly fashion in the first 15 seconds prompting the move for their opener. A bit sloppy with his passing and lost the ball a lot of times in bad areas, leaving his defenders exposed.
Jules Kounde – 4
Kounde had a really poor first half before his substitution. Was caught in a bad position leading to their first goal and completely embarrassed for Granada’s second. Had to go off soon after that due to injury.
Ter Stegen had a nightmare against Granada. Should’ve saved the shot for the opener, which seemingly went over his hands. And then got totally outwitted by Zaragoza for his second. Conceded very cheap goals and far from his best.
