Oriol Romeu is prepared to leave Barcelona immediately and sign for Besiktas before the transfer window shuts, according to fairly reliable Turkish reporter Sercan Dikme.
After a bright start at Barca Romeu has fallen to the bottom of Barca's pecking order in midfield with youth players like Fermin Lopez now ahead of him.
The midfielder is tipped to start for Barca in their Copa Del Rey clash against Bilbao later today, January 24, but he remains unsatisfied with being a bit part player in Xavi's team.
Barca have already received a bid for the 32-year-old from the Turkish club with negotiations said to be ongoing.
Romeu joined Barcelona from Girona last summer with some talks suggesting he could return to the Barcelona-based club in the summer, but that doesn't seem to be the case with Besiktas pushing to get him now.
Barca inserted a €400m buyout clause on Romeu's three-year deal but they will likely accept a bid worth even 5% of that fee considering they paid just €3.2m to sign him in the first place.
Romeu has played 21 games for Barca this season with his assist in the match against Real Betis back in September being his only goal contribution.
