Lewandowski surpasses Henry's scoring record at Barca – took him a season less to do it

Robert Lewandowski's brace against Celta marked his 49th and 50th goal in a Blaugrana shirt, thereby surpassing Thierry Henry's numbers.

Remarkably, the Polish striker needed a whole season less than the iconic Frenchman, who took three years (121 games) to reach the 49 goal mark, whereas Lewy managed it in just 79 apps.

Arriving at Camp Nou for a €45 million fee back in June 2022, Lewandowski took La Liga by a storm, claiming the Pichichi award in his debut season with Barca and leading them to the league trophy.

Although this season has been rather shaky for the 35-year-old, he continues to make his mark, tallying 17 goals and providing 6 assists in 33 matches, averaging a goal contribution in roughly every other game he plays.
