Is Carlos Kameni giving you 2010s flashbacks?
The Cameroonian goalkeeper was one of those shot-stoppers who usually enjoyed the best games of his career exactly against Barcelona and Real Madrid.
In 20 appearances against Espanyol and Malaga with Kameni in goal, Barca scored over two goals just four times. Leo Messi, in particular, only bagged nine goals (three from the spot) against Kameni – the Cameroonian didn't concede from Leo in 14 out of those 20 matches!
Kameni's heroics helped his teams avoid defeat in half of all the matches against Barcelona he was involved in – that's impressive given that Blaugrana were in their golden era most of the time.
Despite being 40 years old already, Kameni still plays at a professional level, having spent the current season in the Spanish third division.
Carlos' son, Luka, was born in Barcelona. The 20-year-old currently plays as a central midfielder for Malaga Academy, so maybe we'll see him face Blaugrana too one day.
