Ademola Lookman has made history, becoming the first African player to score a hat-trick in a European competition final.
The Nigerian actually did it against Bayer Leverkusen who were two steps from ending the season without a single defeat.
Barcelona officials reportedly were surprised with Lookman's performance, having watched the Europa League final from the stands. This doesn't mean the club will necessarily target the forward this summer, but anything can happen.
The 26-year-old has scored 30 goals and provided 14 assists in two seasons with Atalanta. Interestingly, he had never been prolific at all before joining Gian Piero Gasperini's side.
Lookman can play anywhere up front, although his natural position is on the left wing – the one Barca plan to strengthen in the summer.
Lookman's current deal with Atalanta expires in two years and he belongs to the same agency as Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Time to act?
