Alejandro Balde has been out of action since suffering a nasty hamstring injury in action for Barcelona in January.
He is not expected to play any part for the Blaugrana this season despite recently returning to individual training.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Balde should be fully fit before the start of Barca’s pre-season campaign. He should be at his best once the pre-season training begins in July.
In fact, there is even an outside chance for the Spaniard to be ready for Euro 2024 or the Summer Olympics if he continues recovering at an impressive pace.
However, Barca are likely to advise him against participating in these tournaments and preserve himself to be fully fit for the 2024/25 campaign.
There are some questions about Balde’s future amid reports that the club could look to sell him in the summer. He is also likely to have to prove his ability under a new manager next season too.
The 20-year-old defender made 28 appearances for Barca this season, scoring one goal and providing an assist.
