Barcelona have informed Xavi of their final decision to sack him, according to Relevo's Alex Pintanel.
Fabrizio Romano says Barca have fired Xavi — pending official confirmation by the club.
An emergency meeting took place in the past few hours at Barca's training ground with club directors like Deco, Bojan, Rafa Yuste and President Joan Laporta all in attendance.
Xavi was there informed of the club's decision to move on with another coach in charge for next season.
This is the first time Xavi would hear about his dismissal from the club. Reports say the club have never informed him about their decision until now.
Xavi's final game will be against Sevilla, with Hansi Flick expected to take charge when the Spanish tactician leaves the hot seat.
