Barca 'prepare club statement' on Hansi Flick, date set

"Hansi Flick will officially be announced as new Barcelona head coach on Monday. No press conference is planned but a club statement," Sky Sport's Patrick Berger reports.

It seems like everything is ready for Flick to take over at Barca next week. The 57-year-old manager has reached an agreement with Barca and everything is now set for him to replace Xavi.

Flick has reportedly been waiting for Barca since January when Xavi announced he was leaving the club.

The German tactician rejected clubs like Chelsea and Bayern to sign with Barca. Sources say he has been brushing up on his Spanish for over a year.
