Hansi Flick has already started discussions with Barcelona officials over the transfer strategy for the summer window, claims Bar Canaletes.
He’s had extensive talks with sporting director Deco. The German has told the club about wanting to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Exequiel Palacios.
Flick believes that the Argentine midfielder has the necessary aggression and versatility to be an ideal fit to his system.
The German gaffer wants to install a more possession-heavy style at Barca. He feels that Palacios’ energetic style and passing qualities can help him excel in Spain.
Barcelona could reportedly be able to sign Palacios for around €40m if able to convince the Argentine to join them.
But, Barca have already agreed a deal to sign Guido Rodriguez on a free transfer. Flick has reportedly already approved that transfer too.
Palacios enjoyed a prolific 2023/24 season with Leverkusen. He scored six goals and provided five assists in 36 appearances.
