Barcelona to receive millions for Araujo and Pedri injuries - explained

Barcelona have been dealt a significant blow with the injury of key defender Ronald Araujo, who may require surgery and be out until December.

According to FIFA's Club Protection Programme, Barca are entitled to compensation for Araujo's injury, with estimates suggesting around €2.5 million for his expected four-month absence.

However, this amount may not be sufficient for the club to find an immediate replacement.

Additionally, FIFA will need to pay a minimum of €700,000 to Barcelona due to Pedri's injury.

The prolonged absence of Araujo and Pedri would have significant implications for the team but the club would at least be compensated.
