Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies reduced to tears as Canada qualify for World Cup

Canada beat Jamaica 4–0 on Sunday to top the CONCACAF table and book their place at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Alphonso Davies, who was watching the game on Twitch, was reduced to tears with his home country qualifying for the first time in 36 years.

The emotional Bayern Munich full-back said: I'm going to the World Cup. We're going to the World Cup, man! I cannot believe it. I'm tearing up. My dream has come true."

Davies is currently sidelined with a minor heart condition but the defender is already back in training and will surely be able to go in Qatar in November.
