Ilkay Gundogan will be leaving Man City in the summer transfer window, as per the Daily Mail.
The German midfielder has been told that he is free to leave in the summer with just one year remaining on his contract.
Gundogan wants assurance that he will start regular games for City in the future, something which Pep Guardiola can’t give hin.
The 31-year-old has been told his existing deal will not be extended and City are giving him the chance to look for other options in the summer.
Gundogan, who was Guardiola’s first signing at City, has made 42 appearances for the club this season – scoring 8 goals and providing 6 assists.
