Brighton officially in Europa League next season after Man City draw

Brighton have drawn 1-1 against Man City courtesy of Julio Enciso's goal to nullify Phil Foden's opener.

This result sets in stone Brighton's position in the Premier League standings this season - sixth. So, they are in the Europa League next season and in a European competition for the first time in their history.

Brighton started this season with Graham Potter and were in the top 4 when Chelsea poached their coach. Roberto De Zerbi then took over and continued the impressive job with many fans saying he has improved Potter's team.

The Seagulls have been a nightmare to play against and the likes of Man United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal have all lost to them at least once this season in all competitions

The last European spot in the Premier League will be the Conference League spot. It's Aston Villa's to lose as they are sitting seventh, but Spurs and Brentford might end up there depending on favourable results.

Villa face Brighton at home, Spurs play relegation-threatened Leeds away and Brentford will host champions Man City.
