Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the player with the most first-division goals in football history

Cristiano Ronaldo just nailed what might be his top goal yet with Al Nassr, and in doing so, he's hit a major milestone. He's now the top scorer ever in first-division football!

Across different top leagues like the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Liga Portugal, and now the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo has smashed in a whopping 527 goals. That's more than Josef Bican, the previous record-holder at 526 goals. Josef "Pepi" Bican was an Austrian-Czech professional footballer who played as a striker.

For Al Nassr alone, Ronaldo has scored 32 goals in just 37 games. He managed to hit that incredible number in just 11 months of playing in Saudi Arabia.

With this big achievement under his belt Portuguese footballer is looking ahead to the Asian Champions League. Al Nassr are gearing up to take on Iran's Persepolis next Monday.
