However, the Portuguese had it harder than other players. He had to wait the whole minute from the moment Ederson saved Modric's kick to shooting his own penalty. That's a lot in a match where the pressure is at the highest level.
And that's thanks to one Man City fan. This gentleman held the ball for some time and even tried to put it under his shirt.
However, when it was clear that Bernardo Silva was still waiting for his penalty kick, the Man City supporter decided to throw the ball back, perhaps under pressure from the other fans.
Bernardo's penalty was then easily saved by Andriy Lunin.
Of course, you can't remove all the blame from Silva, however, this is the penalty shootout in the quatre-final of the Champions League. Every second of waiting can change your mental state. Maybe Bernardo could do better if he had the ball right away.
