‘Full of life, full of energy’ - Moreno and his 5 years with the Reds

Moreno was signed from Sevilla in August 2014 and has represented the Reds on 141 occasions, scoring three goals in the process.

The No.18 clocked up 91 appearances across his first two seasons on Merseyside under Brendan Rodgers but was limited in opportunities by Herr Klopp after the 2015-2016 EL final.

Moreno, however, never despaired and continued prodding away, winning a starting XI spot in the opening months of 2017-18.

The Spaniard looked all but certain to finally become a regular starter for the Reds until an unforeseen injury saw Robertson's stellar rise to power.

Albie has thus made scant 5 appearances this season but Klopp stressed the important role the 26-year-old fulfilled in the wider squad this season:

“I know this season, and the end of the last, maybe the minutes on the pitch he would have wanted and deserved were not there, but his contribution did not diminish,” said the manager.

“How he was in training kept the entire group on their toes. Albie is world-class and I know he will be back in the Spain national team in the not too distant future.”

The destiny, however, will not be letting Albie go without a major trophy to his name as if paying him back for Europa League heartbreak.

Living a dream,” the 26-year-old, said with that mischievous smile of his after the grandiose trophy parade in the city on Sunday. “What a feeling.”
