Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella wants January exit

Pedro Chirivella is going to ask for permission to leave Liverpool in January. The Spaniard has opened up on his desire speaking to Spanish outlet Marca.

"I have had two or three transfer windows when I was about to leave," he said. "I just can’t enjoy the game time where I want, which is in Spain. The same thing happened this summer. I was close to going to Spain, but due to circumstances, the club decided that I had to stay again.

"And I loved every time I had the opportunity [to play for Liverpool]. But you have to be realistic; the opportunities are not regular due to the players at the club.

"Yes, I would like to find a solution in January and return to Spain. And if not, we would look to next summer to return to Spain definitely."

Chirivella joined Liverpool in 2013 from Valencia U19s. In six years, he has failed to break into the first team. This season, the Spaniard has registered two brief cameos in the Carabao Cup.

At the age of 22, he probably needs to settle somewhere. Pedro's contract with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2020 so if he does not find a club in January, he will definitely leave for free next summer.
