'I will have these two games in my mind for a very long time': Pedro Chirivella speaks about the FA Cup matches against Arsenal and Everton

Although Liverpool's FA Cup run this season ended in disappointment, the game against Arsenal and Everton were ones the fans will not forget for a while.

The same goes for midfielder Pedro Chirivella, who played in both the games. Liverpool beat Arsenal in a penalty shootout after a 5-5 draw, and then beat neighbours Everton at Anfield with local lad Curtis Jones scoring the winner.

Speaking to Marca, Chirivella recalled these games: "These are two games that I will have in my mind for a long time.

"The Arsenal game came after two very difficult months where I had not been able to play due to problems with my record when I returned from Extremadura.

"They gave me the chip a week before the game against Arsenal and I was lucky to play.

"And against Everton it was a dream day. After a couple of regular seasons on a personal level, the derby was a turning point in my career."

The 22-year-old had a fantastic game against Everton where he controlled the tempo of the team from the middle of the park.

Chirivella is expected to leave Anfield at the end of this season as his contract is expiring soon, but he will take the memories of these two games with him wherever he goes.
