Napoli give Liverpool yet another title celebrations scenario; their fans show perfect example of what Reds' supporters should not do

On Wednesday night, Napoli beat Juventus in a penalty shootout in the Coppa Italia final and claimed their first trophy since 2014 as well as their first one under Gennaro Gattuso.

Gli Azzurri had to celebrate the trophy in front of the empty stadium and with some lockdown measures still in place; however, they still enjoyed an emotional and somewhat traditional trophy lift ceremony.

With all players and staff tested for the coronavirus ahead of the game, Napoli afforded to forget a little bit about the social distancing recommendations.

However, the Serie A side's fans definitely went too far as estimated 5,000 people swarmed onto the streets of Naples to celebrate the trophy in the city’s historical centre, Piazza Trieste e Trento.

The club's tifosi gathered at their usual meeting place and held a whole parade of flares and fireworks, flags and banners, songs and horns, with people throwing themselves into the Artichoke fountain in the centre of the piazza.

As Italy have recorded over 30,000 deaths due to the coronavirus pandemic, the country's strict rules imply maintaining a one-metre gap between non-family groups and wearing masks in public places.

Needless to say, Napoli fans disregarded both.
