Klopp: 'My players don't need individual targets to be the highest motivated'

"Look, if Ali wins the Golden Glove, that means we have obviously how many games with a clean sheet, which would really help us as a team," Klopp told the Reds official website.

"If we provide the winner of the Golden Boot, that means we have a lot of goals. So that helps absolutely. My players don't need individual targets to be the highest motivated, but they don't disturb.

"They are absolutely rather helpful than anything else. But in the end, it's all about winning a football game. If it would be different, I would tell them it's not OK.

"But in the end, it's always first and foremost about winning a football game and not about the other stuff. But it's nice when you can win both."

Indeed, Liverpool have stamped their authority in all departments of the game this season to win their first domestic title in 30 years and Alisson Becker has been one of the cornerstones of the Reds' supreme dominance.

The Brazilian shot-stopper, who won the PL Golden Glove award in his debut season at Anfield last term, has featured in 33 league outings for Klopp's brigade this season so far, conceding just 22 goals and keeping as many as 17 clean-sheets in the process.

The 27-year-old also boasts the highest save percentage among all goalkeepers in the PL this term, which pretty much sums up his impressive form.

Here's a collection of Salah's best goals from his inaugural PL Golden Boot-winning season:

Mo Salah, on the other hand, has already reached a number of milestones in the ongoing campaign with his 19 goals so far and is very much in the race for the Golden Boot for the third consecutive season in a row, having won the award in 2017-18 and shared it with Sadio Mane and Aubameyang last term.
