Sport Bild's head of football Christian Falk believes that Schalke centre-back Ozan Kabak could be an ideal fourth-choice centre-back for Liverpool.
"Kabak will be a perfect replacement for Lovren," the reporter told LFC Transfer Room. "We heard LFC had talks with Schalke to see if it will be possible to get him. Schalke need money, they have to sell one of their good players - 3 of them are on the market and one of them is Kabak. He would fit LFC."
Kabak, 20, had a great season at Schalke, becoming a regular starter despite such a young age. The one-time Turkey international made 26 Bundesliga appearances, helping his side keep 5 clean sheets.
The issue is Schalke will hope to earn as much as £40m for the defender and Liverpool don't have the money at the moment.
