Klopp refuses to complain about lack of transfers: 'It will be intense but no one is moaning'

Speaking during the press conference ahead of the Arsenal Community Shield clash, Jurgen Klopp said: "Numbers in the squad make sense, we have a big squad at the moment with a lot of young boys. The size of the squad is okay at the moment.

"I'm happy with what we have but we look constantly for improvement - internally too. Time is still uncertain for all of us. We have to show responsibility for people in the club and that is what we try to consider.

"We don't live in dreamland where we can bring them all in. We deal with our situation and we try to do that for a bit longer. Still uncertain It will be intense but no-one is moaning, we are lucky we can play at all."

Liverpool are set for a quiet summer transfer window with the club still dealing with the financial outcome of the coronavirus pandemic.

Only one new player has arrived at Anfield ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, with the Reds securing the signing of left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas from Olympiakos.
