First start for Thiago? Select your Liverpool XI vs Arsenal from 3 options

Jordan Henderson and Joel Matip are not going to take on the Gunners on Monday night, but Joe Gomez is back in full training and in contention.

However, Liverpool might be dealt a further blow, with Alisson and Thiago Alcantara being assessed as they've been sidelined from training since Friday. The decision on their involvement against Arsenal is likely to be taken right before the game.

Bearing this all in mind, who should be in the Reds' starting XI? Here are 3 options for you.

Option 1: No surprises

• Should Alisson and Thiago be fit to play, they are certain (or almost certain, in Thiago's case) to start.
• Gini Wijnaldum might be fresher than Naby Keita who was involved in the Carabao Cup game which could give him a slight advantage.
• The back four and the front three largely pick themselves.

Option 2: Fabinho for centre-back

• The Brazilian has been quite impressive in that role and could be given a nod ahead of Joe Gomez.
• In that case, Thiago could drop to his role, with Wijnaldum and Keita completing the midfield three.

Option 3: Alisson and Thiago out

• If Jurgen Klopp can't count on further two players, he really does not have that options to change the team.
• Even then, the starting XI looks strong enough to take three points off Arsenal.
