- Liverpool outcast Loris Karius is set to undergo a medical for Union Berlin before signing a year-long loan move with the Bundesliga side, as per Goal.
- The German keeper has not featured for the reds since the ill-fated 2018 Champions League final.
- Liverpool would prefer to sell the 27-year-old, but no team would meet their asking price of around £6m.
- That's why a loan is arranged for Karius to play games and maintain or increase his market value.
- At Union Berlin, the keeper will join fellow Liverpool loanee Taiwo Awoniyi who already started his first Bundesliga game for the new side.
