Curtis Jones: 'I’m getting better and better each game I play. I wouldn’t say I’m a regular but I’m not too far'

"I’m laidback and I’m confident but I always know that it’s a bigger step coming from the Academy to the first team and when I’m going from playing against Lincoln to playing against Arsenal," Curtis Jones told the Reds official website.

"So I always know that the step is different but I’ll always try to play my same game and stay as calm as I can be. As I said before, the manager and his staff have belief in me and I know that so I just go out there and enjoy myself and try to be me and be the player that I am, and show everybody at the club and the fans around the world the player that I am and the player that I can become.

"I wouldn’t say I’m a 'regular', but I would say that I’m not too far. I’m still a young lad and I’ve still got a lot to learn and there are great people around me that I’m learning from.

"I’m getting better and better each game that I play and each session that I have with the first team, so I’m grateful to the manager and his staff for having me around and showing so much belief in me and giving me the opportunities that I’m getting."

Jones made his debut for Liverpool's senior team back in January 2019. All in all, the 19-year-old has played 16 games for Klopp's crew, scoring 5 goals and providing an assist.

Most recently, CuJo impressed in a 7-2 victory over Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup third-round tie as the Academy kid scored a brace.
