Back in 2013 when he was playing for RB Salzburg, Sadio Mane was asked why he chooses to wear the No.10. He replied: "Lots of bigger players have the no.10. It's like the middle number in football.
"My birthday is also on a 10th, the 10th of April. All of my favourite players also wore this number, that's why I feel comfortable with it. My favourite player with the No.10 is Ronaldinho from Brazil. Unfortunately, he doesn't play much nowadays.
"Another player I like who wears the No.10 and who plays a lot is Eden Hazard from Chelsea."
Ronaldinho is one of the best players ever and is the idol for a lot of footballers today. On the other hand, Hazard at Chelsea was a beast and was arguably the best footballer in the Premier League for a couple of seasons. Today, however, Mane is much better than the Belgian international!
We're sure that a few years down the line, an upcoming star is going to come up and name Mane as his idol - the Senegalese forward already has one PL Golden Boot and several trophies to his name and this is just the beginning!
