Liverpool have not won any of their last 5 Premier League games. However, a change in competition might see a change in our fortunes as we head to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
Jordan Henderson will most likely miss the game due to a groin injury and Naby Keita is still not back in full training yet. However, Jurgen Klopp does have some options to choose from:
Option 1: Strongest XI possible
- Almost the same team that started against United a week ago, except Matip comes in for Hendo at CB.
- This is arguably the strongest XI that the Reds can field right now and Klopp might go with this as a win in this game would be huge.
Option 2: Let the bench show their worth
- A lot of changes here - almost the entire back 4 changes as Phillips, Tsimikas and Neco Williams come in. Kelleher gets the nod over Alisson.
- It could be that Klopp won't risk Matip in back-to-back games. However, starting both Rhys Williams and Phillips makes little sense either so Fabinho is likely to start.
- Milner and Mane will lead this team with their experience as Minamino takes up the striker role and Shaqiri starts as the right winger - his preferred position.
- Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jones round up the side.
