Speaking to Bein Sports after Liverpool's 4-2 win against Manchester United, Mohamed Salah said: "I wasn’t surprised of United players’ intensity in the game.
"They rested most of their players the last game to play this one and keep us out of top 4 places but this motivated us to win.
"I hope [today’s goal] is a sign to continue scoring regularly against United. I was unlucky, but the most important thing that we won.
"Everything remains in our hands [the race to finish in the Champions League spots]. We have to win our remaining games without waiting to receive favours from anyone."
United has rested their best players in the game against Leicester City a few days ago as they had to face Liverpool last night - of course, that plan backfired as they ended up losing both the games.
The Reds are now 4 points away from the top 4 and have a strong chance of finishing there if we win our remaining games.
