Abdul-Fatawu Issahaku has signed a five-year deal with Liverpool despite having been close to an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen, according to Ghanasoccernet.com and Ghanaian journalist Saddick Adams. No Merseyside sources have confirmed the news just yet.

The attacking midfielder won the Best Player award at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations this year and has already been called to the main national side. However, he's not likely to get a work permit straight away, so a loan is the likeliest option if he does sign for Liverpool.
