According to multiple sources, Liverpool are in touch with the notorious Mino Raiola who represents PSV forward Donyell Malen.
Freelance journalist David Lynch has confirmed the story for the Liverpool Echo, pointing out that sporting director Michael Edwards is involved personally.
It does not mean, however, that a deal would necessarily take place this summer.
First of all, Borussia Dortmund are known to consider Malen their primary target as Jadon Sancho's replacement.
Second, the Dutchman's salary demands could be an issue. As per the source, he asks for the €100,000-per-week wages, almost twice as much as Diogo Jota earns according to the contract he signed last year.
That's why Liverpool will not be in any rush to make a deal and will continue to monitor the transfer market movements, hoping that more suitable targets will emerge.
Donyell Malen, 22, scored 44 goals in 70 games at the club level over the last two years. He joined PSV in 2018 after a spell at the Arsenal academy.
