Liverpool 'eager to reward' Mo Salah with new record-breaking contract

Liverpool are 'earger to reward' Mohamed Salah with a new long-term contract that will make the Egyptian the highest-paid player in the club's history, according to Paul Gorst of the Liverpool Echo.

The 29-year-old is tied with the Reds until 2023 on a deal worth £200,000-a-week.

Salah claimed that "everything is in the club's hands" over his future last year prompting sporting director Michael Edwards to seek funds for Mo's extension.

Apparently, Salah is open to staying at Anfield beyond 2023, especially if Liverpool meet his wage demands.

Last season, the Egypt international netted 31 goals and provided six assists in 51 appearances for the Reds.
