Klopp confirms Thiago to miss Bologna friendly with minor injury

"Thiago came here with a slight issue," Jurgen Klopp told the official Liverpool website.

"He has three weeks off and the slight issue is still [there], which he was feeling. 

"We don't take any risks. He's part of parts of training and in these little things he looks great, but it's more the longer distances where he struggles slightly. 

"We have to make sure that will be sorted and we are on it. I think he will be in next week, [at the] latest, in full training."

Thiago joined the Reds' squad last week after three weeks off due to his involvement at Euro 2020 with Spain. He only made four appearances from the bench in six games, but no medical issue was reported back then.

On Thursday, Liverpool will play two 60-minute friendly games against Bologna at the training camp in Evian, France.
