After the two Bologna friendlies, Jurgen Klopp described Kostas Tsimikas' performance in one of those as 'really, really good'.
Now, the left-back is ready to kick on ahead of his second season at Anfield.
“I always try to improve my game and to give my best to help the team – to win, to score goals," Tsimikas told the official Liverpool website.
“Always these kind of games give me more power to continue running and to improve. And I’m very happy to help my team win 1-0 even in a friendly game.
“I always give my best to be close to the team. And whenever my coach gives me the opportunity to play, I’m always ready for that. Any opportunity, I’m ready.”
The first season at Liverpool was not easy for Tsimikas: the Greek left-back had setbacks due to injuries and Covid, so the Reds were lucky that Andrew Robertson could play almost every game.
Tsimikas has been quite impressive in the pre-season, so there's every chance he'll make more than seven appearances that he did in 2020/21.
