19-year-old Jeremy Doku was close to a Liverpool move 3 years ago but decided to move to Rennes as he wanted more playing time for his development.
Now, it would seem that after a solid Euro 2020 campaign, Liverpool are reigniting their interest in the player. Reliable journalist Sacha Tavolieri told LFCTransferRoom: "I can confirm Liverpool are targeting Doku and that if everything goes well, they will go further with Rennes.
"They are already in touch with their sports agency regarding him but they need to make space (by selling players) before making an offer."
For those unaware, Doku is a pacy right winger who has been likened to Sadio Mane. While his end product is lacking and he needs to improve on his decision-making, the teenager has shined bright for Rennes and only seems to be getting better each season.
Doku is contracted with the Ligue 1 club until 2025 and as per Transfermarkt, his market value is £23.40m.
