'Timing is everything': Former Red Glen Johnson backs Gerrard to 'definitely' manage Liverpool in future

Klopp took charge of Liverpool after Gerrard's playing career at his boyhood club ended. However, they managed to work together, with Gerrard coaching the Reds' U18 side for some time before he took off for Rangers.

December 11 is the date that will mark Gerrard's return to Anfield and for the first time ever, he'll be in the away dugout there. Still, there's no doubt that he'll be greeted with a standing ovation from the Liverpool fans.

"He sent me a message and he said he’s looking forward to a big hug on the side on December 11th so that’s something to look forward to."

Gerrard will be arriving at Anfield for the first time in enemy territory as he will lead Aston Villa to play the Reds on December 11.

While we all love Stevie G, fans will want three points from Liverpool and to witness Klopp vs Gerrard will be a game to remember!

Can we for goodness sake leave Steven Gerrard alone and let him concentrate on his future career. How many top clubs concentrate so much on one of their ex player as if the success of the club is centered on such individual player? We are playing Arse-nal today and that's my concern. PLEASE????

The ideal situation would be that JK stays for 4 more years beyond his current contract so that would be 2028 and then Stevie G takes over, now that would be brilliant so let's hope it happens 🙏
