Gerrard leads Villa to 2-0 win over Brighton his first game in charge

 at home and it was a tight game until the 80th minute, when Ollie Watkins opened the scoring with a brilliant solo goal.

Tyrone Mings then added another as Gerrard jumped up and down the touchline and Villa fans in the stands went crazy.

It was a perfect start to the Liverpool legend's management career in the Premier League. Brighton drew 2-2 at Anfield recently so we know they're not an easy opponent!

We congratulate Gerrard and hope he keeps winning; except when he faces Liverpool on December 11!

Gerard Houllier effectively started building the team that won the Champions League in the 2004/05 season. It was under the Frenchman when Gerrard, as well as Jamie Carragher, became regular starters for the first team.

You know when he manages us I personally will cut him more slack than most because him being a scouser, stood on the Kop like us as a supporter. played all his career with us, never went chasing money at Chelski or Real. Never heard him arguing over wanting more money before he would sign a contract.
Jurgen took 5 years to win things I personally would give him that unless he did a  Souness changed everything and lost the changing room.
