Taking place in Cameroon, the 33rd edition of the AFCON runs from January 9 to February 6. There are 24 teams in the initial group stages and the top two teams will qualify for the next stages. 

All three African stars will be very keen to bring the title home. However, for Liverpool, the earlier the players are back, the better! 

So let's take a look at the earliest and latest that the players can return and how many games they'll miss in both these situations.

The last group stage game for both Guinea (Keita's team) and Senegal (Mane's team) are January 18. For Salah, Egypt's last group stage game is January 19.

Should any of them be eliminated at this stage of the competition, they will be back in Liverpool by the next day. These are the games they will miss in this scenario:

Only one of these games is in the Premier League - the one against Brentford. 

The final Round of 16 game is on January 27. If they advance to this stage, the Reds will also miss the clash against 

, which is set to take place on January 23. 

Liverpool don't have any game scheduled from 23 Jan to 11 February. The AFCON final is on 6 February so regardless of how far the players go after the Round of 16 stage, they will miss a maximum of four games. 

Of course, all this being said, we're very sure that all three of Salah, Keita and Mane will give it their all to make sure they win the AFCON. It would definitely be amazing to watch either of the three win the whole thing.
