"I didn’t see it back," Jurgen Klopp told the press after the League Cup final when asked about Joel Matip's goal disallowed for Virgil Van Dijk interfering with play from an offside position.
"Was there any doubt about the goal of Joel? I don’t know.
"I didn’t see it back so I cannot speak about that but obviously VAR is not our favourite subject in the moment, since last night. That was obviously a tricky one to understand.
"But today, I have no idea. I didn’t see anything back so I can’t say anything about it, but obviously there is still space for improvement and that’s how it is."
'Last night' here refers to a controversial call by VAR in Saturday's clash between Everton and Man City as Klopp spoke in a press conference on Sunday after the final.
The Toffees were denied a penalty after Rodri touched the ball with his hand in the box.
Pep's side ended up winning the game 1-0.
