Man City, Arsenal sign new midfielders: How Liverpool rivals are faring in the transfer market

After three new recruits, Liverpool are done signing players this summer, according to credible reports. However, other Premier League clubs have been reinforcing their squad, particularly Manchester City, Spurs and Arsenal who have gone on to sign new midfielders - as we know, that's one area Liverpool refused to strengthen.

Here's how our rivals have fared in the market so far in terms of new signings.

Manchester City

Kalvin Phillips (€48.75m, Leeds United) - a powerful midfielder made for the Premier League.

Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund, €60m) - arguably one of the best young strikers in the world right now.

Arsenal

Gabriel Jesus (Man City, €52.2m) - Another hot striker with lots of Premier League experience - plus he was trained by Guardiola.

Fábio Vieira (Porto, €35m) - Insane midfield talent. Can play anywhere in midfield and score goals.

Matt Turner (New England, €6.36m) - a backup keeper.

Marquinhos (Sao Paulo, €3.5m) a young right-winger from Brazil.

Manchester United

Tyrell Malacia (Ajax, €15m) - a Dutchman who's showing so much promise at left-back.

Tottenham

Richarlison (Everton, €58m) - an absolute colossus of a striker from Brazil. Who doesn't know this born fighter in the Premier League?

Yves Bissouma (Brighton, €29.2m) - a powerful midfield machine from Mali. Could be another N'Golo Kante in the making.

Ivan Perisic (Inter, free) - an experienced attacker with the skills to pay the bills.

Fraser Forster (Southampton, free) - a high-quality backup keeper for Lloris.

Clement Lenglet (Barcelona, loan) - a decent centre-back to plug the gap.

Chelsea

The Blues are yet to make a new signing this summer.
