Liverpool left it late on Tuesday to secure a 2–1 win against Ajax at Anfield in the Champions League.
The Reds scored a goal early in the game but the visitors were quick to respond through 22-year-old forward Mohammed Kudus.
And Virgil van Dijk was singled out for criticism after the goal for failing to switch between passive (trying to prevent a pass) and active (tightly marking his man) defending in the buildup.
One tactical expert wrote on Twitter: "Kudus' goal is once more an example of Van Dijk not differentiating between passive and active defending. The same he did vs Sancho [in the 2–1 defeat vs Manchester United]."
