Nunez 7.5, Trent 1: Rating Liverpool players in Arsenal loss

Good

Jota: 7.5. Excellent in the build-up. Should have won Liverpool a penalty for Gabriel's handball. Brilliantly set up Firmino for his goal.

Diaz: 7.5. Brilliant ball control and persistence for his assist to Darwin Nunez's equaliser. Was taken off shortly before half-time after picking up a knock.

Nunez: 7.5. Scored an important goal with a sliding finish, made countless runs into the box. A good display by Darwin.

Firmino: 7.5. Fantastic positioning, footwork and finishing for Liverpool's second goal. Often dropped deep to help Liverpool break Arsenal's lines. Silenced his critics once again.

Gomez: 6.5. Did well against Martinelli. Wasn't particularly positive going forward though but no questions asked defence-wise.

Poor

Henderson: 4. Hendo's technical quality simply isn't there anymore. His passing was very poor today.

Salah: 4. Spent 68 minutes of the pitch and didn't do anything of note. Invisible.

Tsimikas: 3. Gave Saka acres of space to run into before Martinelli's goal. Positioned himself poorly for Arsenal's second goal. Wasn't particularly dangerous going forward.

Van Dijk: 2. Was caught ball watching on two occasions again, with Arsenal capitalising on his poor defending.

Trent: 1. Awful defending for Martinelli's goal as he failed to cover the Brazilian's run. The same happened for Arsenal's second. Was taken off at half-time after a truly horrible first-half performance.

Others: Alisson, Konate, Thiago 6.5, Matip 6, Fabinho, Elliott N/A
