Answered: how many places would Liverpool go up in league standings if they win their postponed game

Several Premier League games in September were postponed as a mark of respect to Queen Elizabeth II following her death on September 8. As a result, several Premier League teams have played fewer matches than others.

Liverpool had a game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge postponed. A new date has not been named yet.

The Reds are currently ninth in the table with 16 points.

If they beat Chelsea, they would overtake Brighton and Fulham (on goal difference). The Seagulls have a game in hand (v Palace), too, and they would still be above Liverpool if they beat the Eagles.

The Reds would also get closer to Chelsea — just two points would separate Liverpool from the Blues in case Klopp's men get a win at the Bridge.
